It has been a season to remember for Ambati Rayudu. The Hyderabad-based batsman, who scored his first century of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Sunday, has earned praises from the chief of senior selection committee, M. S. K. Prasad.
“I am extremely happy to see Rayudu’s form and consistency. Hope he continues the same form with the Indian team in the coming ODIs,” Prasad told Sportstar .
Donning the Chennai Super Kings colours this season, Rayudu scored 535 runs from 12 matches in the IPL so far, with an average of 48.63, is the third-highest run-getter, after Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Kane Williamson (544) and King’s XI Punjab opener Lokesh Rahul (537).
Rayudu’s spectacular form has helped him earn a spot in the India squad for the ODI series against England.
