"Tymal Mills was a great buy. He's a T20 specialist in our estimate. Our view is that he will be available."

On Starc's pull-out, Thomas said: "This is a game about the product on the field. And it is the players who create the product on the field and we enjoy. When you have international players, you have to find a solution in the interest of the game. This was in the best interest of everybody given the kind of workload fast bowlers have. That was our intention."

"If he had come in with that workload, the risk would have been far greater for everyone. This was absolutely as per regulation"

Thomas said that RCB was aware of >Starc's decision much ahead of the auction. "Starc's pull-out was planned. It was not last minute."

On buying Pawan Negi, Thomas said: "We wanted a bowling all-rounder. He gives us a bowling option."
