“We're comfortable chasing so no point changing it,” said KKR skipper Gautam Gambhir, wearing the orange cap, after winning the toss against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

There are days when David Warner detonates and you can’t do much. Sunday was such a day. Of the 59 balls he faced, he missed only three. Gambhir tried to stifle him with Sunil Narine. Warner scored 31 off Narine’s 12 deliveries, clubbing him for four fours and a six. With Shikhar Dhawan, he put on 139 of which the former’s share was 29. SRH registered its highest IPL total - 209 - also the highest total by any team against KKR.

In the end, KKR’s chase wasn’t comfortable. And the orange cap, Gambhir had to give to his counterpart, who ensured KKR’s chase wasn’t comfortable.
