The right-arm offbreak bowler returned with impressive figures (2/23) in his four-over quota. He cramped the dangerous Chris Lynn for room and dislodged the furniture upfront. Later, Ben Stokes’ acrobatics in the deep earned him the wicket of Robin Uthappa.
When Rajasthan Royals takes on Chennai Super Kings at the Maharashtra Cricket Stadium in Pune, all eyes will be on Gowtham’s battle with the CSK top order. Ambati Rayudu — who looked in good touch — would be keen to fancy his chances against Gowtham. Being a right-hander, it will be easier to plan an onslaught. The deep fine leg and the deep square leg have been Rayudu’s go-to areas but the right-hander can be brutal on the off too.
