K. L. Rahul started his Indian Premier League (IPL) campaign with a record-breaking half-century (off 14 balls), and hasn't looked back since. He's been a vital contributor to Kings XI Punjab's solid run in the competition so far, and the team management will look to him to help break the current rut the team finds itself in ahead of the playoffs. With 558 runs in 12 matches, he is the second-highest run-getter in the league; his last five scores read: 21, 66, 95*, 84*. His contribution will be vital to help Kings XI storm into the playoffs confidently and perhaps for further success.
Suryakumar Yadav has been similarly prolific for Mumbai Indians, albeit with his team a little less successful than Kings XI. Yadav has been consistent with his run-making at the top of the order; his 473 runs is the highest in the league among his team-mates and he's in the middle of a good run as well.
Come Wednesday, all eyes will be on Rahul and Yadav, among others, to deliver some big blows with the bat at the Wankhede Stadium.
