K. L. Rahul has been in majestic form for Kings XI Punjab this season and he holds the key for Kings XI Punjab when it takes on Royal Challengers Bangalore on Monday (May 14).
By his own admission, Kings XI's middle order hasn't been consistent and, as a result, the opening and top-order batsmen have had to shoulder additional responsibility. Call it pressure or burden, Rahul has thrived on the same and his form has helped him score crucial runs and win matches for Kings XI.
For RCB, Tim Southee has been an able replacement for Chris Woakes. He has been a touch expensive but bowling up front and at the death, Southee has managed to pick crucial wickets. RCB will bank on Southee's wicket-taking ability to provide an early breakthrough and dismiss Rahul in particular.
