Star Wars: AB De Villiers v Jasprit Bumrah

AB De Villiers will have to carry the RCB middle order if the team has to score big, and for Mumbai Jasprit Bumrah has emerged as the leader of its bowling unit.

AB De Villiers proved in the last game why he is one of the best limited overs batsman. His incredible effort however didn't yield the expected result for Royal Challengers Bangalore as the team lost to Kings XI Punjab.

De Villiers scored 89 out of the team's total of 149, and it included 9 sixes. This time De Villiers will get more support as Virat Kohli is likely to make a comeback into the team, but the onus of steering the fragile RCB middle order will be on De Villiers shoulders. If he does manage to bat 10 over at the Chinnaswamy, RCB can be easily expected to cross 200.

For Mumbai, Jasprit Bumrah was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3/24, and his death bowling has been vital for the team. With Malinga not getting any younger, and McCleneghan struggling with his form, Bumrah has emerged as the go to man for Rohit Sharma, If De Villiers and Bangalore need to be restricted, then Bumrah will need to get his yorkers right, otherwise Mumbai might struggle to post or chase a big total as many of its key batsman are struggling to find rhythm.
