Star Wars: Chris Morris v David Warner

In Sunrisers Hyderabad's previous encounter against Delhi Daredevils, Chris Morris dismissed David Warner for four runs. Can Morris win the battle against Warner once again?

As the current holder of the orange cap at this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL), David Warner has left a lot of bowlers reeling with his blistering form.

Apart from captaining his team, he has also been relentless as an opening batsman with an aggregate of 459 runs from just nine matches. With his smashing innings of 126 off 59 balls against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), David Warner has been a nightmare for most teams, and has left them wildly strategising to remove him at the earliest.

Though not many teams have been successful in containing him when he gets going, the only instance where he did not get to double digits was in the previous encounter with the Delhi Daredevils (DD), when he lost the battle against the South African all-rounder, Chris Morris.

Morris started the season with a good bowling performance against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) with three crucial wickets and an economy of 5.25.

Not only with the ball, Morris excelled also with the bat, helping DD reach defendable totals during the early weeks of the season. With a total of 12 wickets, Morris has been impressive with his ability to bowl well at the death, and also hit some quick runs for his team at the death, with a total of 139 runs.

It will be a test for him to maintain the line and length against a rampaging Warner

Will Morris be able to win the battle a second time? Time well tell!
