Kings XI Punjab has started the IPL perfectly, with two wins in two games so far. The team, which is full of big hitters like Glenn Maxwell and David Miller, and is coached by Virender Sehwag was always expected to play an entertaining brand of cricket, and it has succeeded in doing so.
However, Hashim Amla has emerged as a vital cog around whom the team revolves. Amla has provided the much needed stability to the Kings XI batting. In the last match, he smashed 58 off just 28 balls, hitting sixes with comfortable ease.
Sunil Narine has been an important player for the Kolkata Knight Riders over the past few years, but many feel that the West Indian has lost his x-factor ever since the changed action. He might not be amongst the wickets, but has been economical for the team. If he does manage to get through Amla, the rest of the Kings XI side might find it difficult to handle him and Kuldeep Yadav in tandem.
On the other hand, if Amla manages to provide another solid platform for Kings XI, you can certainly expect Maxwell and Miller to go berserk in the death overs!
