On Saturday night, Mumbai Indians pulled off a thriller against the Delhi Daredevils as it defended a target of 142. The star behind Mumbai's victory, Mitchell McClenagahan proved why he should be the first choice in Mumbai's bowling line-up.
Bowling at various uncomfortable lengths, McClenaghan's first spell figures read: 2-0-7-3. He stuttered the batting hopes the Delhi Daredevils carried--Sanju Samson, Shreyas Iyer and Corey Anderson--and set up the winning platform for his team.
His promising performance this season for the Mumbai Indians has also helped him grabbing a spot in the New Zealand ODI squad for the Champions Trophy. On Monday, when Mumbai faces Rising Pune Supergiant, McClenagahan will perhaps have the toughest challenge--to face M. S. Dhoni, who is considered the perfect finisher in the shorter format of the game.
After a rather disappointing IPL season, Dhoni got back the rhythm as he single-handedly guided his team to victory, after firing a quick 61 off 34-deliveries. Dhoni started slowly with 21 off 19, but when required run-rate went sky high with 56 required off four overs, his show began...
On Monday it could be anyone's show as the most attacking bowler in Mumbai line-up will be up against Rising Pune Supergiant's finishing king!
