Indian Premier League's costliest player Ben Stokes couldn't make an impact as he was dismissed for just 16 runs in Rajasthan Royals' match against Delhi Daredevils.

The England batsman was at the receiving end of a perfect delivery from Trent Boult. The ball angled into Stokes from a good length and shaped away with a tad extra bounce. The ball took the Stokes' outside edge and Delhi wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant reacted sharply and dived to his left to do the rest. The wicket left Rajasthan tottering at 28/2 in the fifth over.

Stokes was bought at a price of Rs. 12.5 crore in the IPL auctions.

The southpaw has been in the news in the recent past after he was charged with affray following an incident at a nightclub in Bristol last September. He was suspended by the England Cricket Board and missed The Ashes trip to Australia. Stokes had a mixed return to cricket in England's series against New Zealand.
