Kolkata Knight Riders opener Sunil Narine smashed the fastest fifty in the Indian Premier League (IPL) against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Sunday.

Narine took 15 balls to reach his half-century. KKR hit the fastest fifty by a team in the IPL.

Narine departed after scoring 54 (17) when he was caught by wicketkeeper Kedar Jadhav off Aniket Choudhary.

He joined team-mate Yusuf Pathan in hitting the joint fastest fifty in IPL. Yusuf had hit the fastest fifty against Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2014.

Kolkata Knight Riders had crossed 100-mark inside sixth over, chasing 159.
