David Warner scored an attacking 59 in his team's win.

David Warner, who fashioned another impressive win for his team - this time against Kings XI Punjab here on Saturday, said they were aware that one good partnership would take the game away from the rivals.

>Report: Warner, Mustafizur lead Sunrisers to a comfortable win

"In that context, I am really pleased with another big stand with Shikhar whom I felt was regaining his form and striking the ball well,' he commented. " We look at Virat and AB (de Villiers) for RCB, Gambhir and Robin for KKR. A big partnership at the top is the key,," he said.

"If I were to be critical I would have loved me or Shikhar to bat till the end tonight. Sometimes these dismissals can be negative though they give opportunities for others to bat there in the middle," Warner commented. "I am really pleased with the way the bowlers stuck to their task. Bhuvi was outstanding once again. Sran bowled well upfront. And Mustafizur as always spot on putting pressure with so many dot balls which force the batsmen to take risk by going for big shots," Sunrisers captain pointed out. "We are taking each game at a time. We are taking small steps."

'Not all over'

For his part, Kings XI Punjab captain David Miller said he was disappointed with the batting performance though he was pleased with the way the bowlers did their job tonight.

"We need to score runs especially when we bat first to give the bowlers a chance, Miller remarked. Credit to the Sunrisers bowlers and Warner who played so well at the top to clinch the match, Miller said. "We are a great side with players capable of much better performances And it is not all over for us. We have still quite a few games to bounce back," Kings XI Punjab captain said.

Miller also pointed that he was not really worried with Glen Maxwell poor run so far He is a match winner who can turn the game in the team's favour in the space of few overs.
