SCORE

It's been a sensational outing for the World Giants who maintained their control over the Lions from ball one. A couple of early jitters were shrugged away as the lower-order comprising Corey Anderson, Daren Sammy and Brad Haddin came to the party - leading the side to a whopping 256 for five in 20 overs. While the Lions set out for a fairly decent start, wickets at regular intervals derailed the chase by the half-way mark.

ALN 211/7 in 20 overs: Vaas clobbers two sixes before KP smatters the stumps. Muralitharan comes in to lanch a huge SIX before pushing the final ball for the ceremonial sake. The Giantswin by 25 runs and win the inaugural LLC 2022 tournament!

ALN 211/7 in 19 overs: Kulasekara smashes Sidebottom for a beautiful SIX down the ground. Left-armer comes back strongly with an excellent fuller delivery that traps the batter plumb in front.

Pietersen continues

ALN 154/5 in 15 overs: Panesar concedes a  couple of sixes but that does little to lift the Lions who now require over 20 runs per over to close the chase.

ALN 139/5 in 14 overs: The Giants well in control. Pietersen comes in for a quick roll of the arm and gives away just 6 runs from the over.
