Cricket commentator Mark Nicholas was taken to the hospital by medical staff for the second time in three days due to abdominal pains.

Mark Nicholas was rushed to the hospital on Boxing Day after he complained of abdominal pains.

Cricket commentator Mark Nicholas was taken to the hospital by medical staff for the second time in three days due to abdominal pains. He returned to work on Wednesday at the Melbourne Cricket Ground where Australia is playing the second Test against Pakistan.

The former Hampshire cricketer was rushed to the hospital on Boxing Day after he complained of abdominal pains. Nicholas was said to be sweating profusely as he was carried out of the commentary box. He was released from the hospital and was >reported to be on the mend later in the day.

After resting on Tuesday, he returned to work on Wednesday morning but during the final session of the third day, he was taken to the local Epqorth Hospital by medical staff. According to Cricket Australia report: "Nicholas was conscious but in some pain and Channel Nine are expected to release a statement on his condition shortly."
