If the two countries can play each other in multi-nation tournaments, why not out of their aegis, asks Miandad.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) must resolve their differences to resume bilateral cricket between the two countries, former Pakistan captain Javed Miandad has said.

“We (India and Pakistan) can rule the world if we work and play together,” Miandad was quoted as saying by Pakistan’s Daily Messenger .

Further, he questioned the suspension of bilateral cricket ties despite the existence of India-Pakistan fixtures in elite multi-nation tournaments.

Miandad also turned his attention to match fixing. The International Cricket Council (ICC) must keep a close eye on the mushrooming of Twenty20 leagues to prevent any fixing scandals, he said.
