Amit Mishra heaped praise on coach Anil Kumble before the start of the second test match in Jamaica.
Speaking to the press, he praised Kumble’s role in the team and said he is learning a lot from his new coach.
“He told me to vary my pace on this wicket as it was a slow wicket,” Mishra said, when asked about Kumble’s tip to him before the first match.
Speaking about his own performance in the game, the leg spinner said. “I bowled well; taking wickets is not in my hand. I did my job. I built pressure in the second innings to help Ashwin as he was bowling well. Hopefully in the next game I can get a few wickets for the team.”
Mishra also praised the team, saying that it performed well in all the three departments but must now focus on the next game and not dwell on the past.
