Mahendra Singh Dhoni is known to love a game of football in the warm ups. He is also a co-owner of an Indian Super League club Chennaiyin FC and has taken part in charity football matches over the years.
While taking an extended break from cricket, the India cricketer was back playing a charity football match with tennis great Leander Paes in Mumbai.
Rhiti Sports, the firm which manages Dhoni, posted a photo on Facebook on Monday of the 38-year-old and a few other cricketers along with Paes engaged in a contest.
“Captain Cool: MS Dhoni with Indian tennis player Leander Paes in Mumbai for Charity Football Match,” said Rhiti Sports in the post.
Dhoni has been on a lengthy break from cricketing duties. He had last played for India in the ODI World Cup in July. He then decided to sit out the tour of the West Indies in what was then supposed to be a two-month break.
However, a recent report suggested that he has extended his break and will miss the home T20I series against Bangladesh and would be available only when the West Indies tour India in December.
