With no disruption due to rain, the Indian team’s preparatory camp proceeded without a hitch at the National Cricket Academy ground here on Friday. Players were put through the paces in the two training sessions held on the day, under the guidance of coach Anil Kumble.

In the morning session, fast bowlers Ishant Sharma, Varun Aaron and Umesh Yadav worked up considerable pace, while the spinners were tested with extended spells. Local lad Stuart Binny faced the leg-spin of Shreyas Gopal in a separate net — the two Karnataka team-mates putting in the work while enjoying each other’s company.

A fielding exercise was held in the evening.

The camp, ahead of the upcoming tour of the West Indies, ends on Monday.
