Prasad Pawar played a crucial knock of 83 in a low scoring match between Sobo Supersonics and Namo Bandra Blasters in the T20 Mumbai League at the Wankhede Stadium on Thursday. The right hander, who is also the stumper, found form with the bat (6x4s, 3x6s) and helped Supersonics reach 149 for six in 20 overs.

The Supersonics was given a reasonably good start by opener Akarshit Gomel who made 31 off 22 balls. After his exit, Pawar took charge and scored freely of seamers Prashant Bhoir and Aishwarya Surve.

In a match reduced to 18 overs because of light rain, Pawar dominated the bowlers before departing in the second ball of the last over.

The Blasters lost its way after Abhishek Nayar had Shreyas Iyer caught at the wicket. At 59 for eight in the 13th over, the Blasters recovered through a 40-run stand between Aishwarya Surve and Pravin Tambe before Raje picked up his third wicket with Prasad coming into the act.
