Indian batsman Cheteshwar Pujara scored a brilliant 73, only to see it go in vain as Warwickshire triumphed against Yorkshire by five wickets in the Royal London One-Day Cup tie at Headingley, here, on Sunday.

It was Pujara's innings that guided the host to a good total of 247, while visitor's Jeetan Patel claimed four for 33. In reply, the visitor came up with a fine performance with the bat, especially Jonathan Trott and Sam Hain's knocks of 50 and unbeaten 102, respectively, made the chase look relatively easy.

With this loss, Yorkshire stays at the third sport, while Warwickshire rises to the seventh. While Yorkshire hosts Worcestershire on Wednesday, Warwickshire travels to face Lanchasire on Friday.
