When Saurashtra takes on Railways in a Ranji Trophy fixture at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot on Monday, it will be bolstered by the presence of India international Ravindra Jadeja.
The all-rounder, who missed out on the team’s first outing against Chhattisgarh last week due to national team commitments has made himself available for the home game.
However, it would be interesting to see whether Cheteshwar Pujara has completely recovered from the stiff neck, which he picked in the previous game.
Though he left the field for long, Pujara had to come back and bat again as the side lost wickets. Ahead of the tour to Australia, it needs to be seen how much he has recovered and whether he takes the field for the second game.
But then, with Jadeja returning to the side, it will be a big boost to the side, which grabbed three points in the first game. The bowling department will rely heavily on pacer Jaydev Unadkat.
