Hardik Pandya took two wickets but couldn't stop Mumbai from taking a vital lead.

Good morning, welcome to Sportstar 's live coverage of the final day of the sixth round of Ranji Trophy fixtures.

Our reporters N. Sudarshan from Surat, V.V. Subhramanyam from Hyderabad, Amol Karhadkar from Mumbai and M.R. Praveen Chandran from Thiruvananthapuram will be sending updates from ground zero.

  • With that, Round 6 comes to an end. See you on December 22 for the next round.

  • Gujarat vs Karnataka: Both teams settle for a draw. With seven overs remaining and six wickets in hand, Karnataka needed 66 runs to win. Nischal and Siddharth were struggling to score against Axar Patel and Piyush Chawla's disciplined bowling and both teams have called it truce. Karnataka gets three points after taking the first innings lead. Gujarat gets one point.

  • Gujarat vs Karnataka: Update from our reporter: Axar and Chawla have pulled things back for Gujarat. Karnataka needs 69 from 54 balls. Nischal and Siddharth are struggling to score. Karnataka 104/4

  • Maharashtra vs Saurashtra: Saurashtra wins by five wickets.

  • Stumps at Punjab vs Tamil Nadu: Punjab takes 3 points from the match and Tamil Nadu gets just the one.

  • Gujarat vs Karnataka: Mayank Agarwal hits Axar for 18 runs in a over and brings up his fifty. He gets out soon after as Axar gets him to hole out to the cover fielder. Mayank goes for 53 off 57 balls. Karnataka 85/2, needs 88 runs to win.

  • Stumps at Mumbai vs Baroda: The teams agree to call off the match after Mumbai declares its second innings at 307 for 7 in 84 overs.

Our reporter updates: Eknath Kerkar remains unbeaten on 56 off 116 balls with six 4s as Mumbai gets three points from the match, and Baroda gets one.

Tough times for Mumbai. It has three more matches against Saurashtra, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh. It has to probably win all three hands down in order to come into the reckoning for the knock-out phase.

  • Mumbai vs Baroda: Our reporter updates: Shivam Dube hits five sixes off left-arm spinner Swapnil Singh, who bowls the last ball of the over outside the leg stump. He moves from 45 to 75 in a flash. Mumbai 295/6.
Ravi Shastri hit left arm spinner Tilak Raj for six 6s in a single over  on January 10, 1985 in a Ranji Trophy match between Mumbai and Baroda at the Wankhede. Dube misses a chance to emulate Shastri after 33 years.
