Rishabh Pant bereaved

On Thursday, Rajendra Pant was cremated at Kankhal in Haridwar. Rishabh, who is currently playing for Delhi Daredevils in the Indian Premier League, flew back home to perform his father’s last rites.

Young Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant was bereaved on Wednesday. Pant, who played for India in a lone T20 International against England in February, lost his father Rajendra Pant due to a heart attack in Roorkee. He was 53.

According to family members, Rajendra died in his sleep, due to a heart attack. For the last few days, he was complaining of fatigue. He is survived by his wife Saroj, daughter Sakshi and son Rishabh. On Thursday, Rajendra was cremated at Kankhal in Haridwar. Rishabh, who is currently playing for Delhi Daredevils in the Indian Premier League, flew back home to perform his father’s last rites.

“He has gone back home to be with the family,” a Delhi Daredevils team official said.
