Remember the way Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag regaled us all with their terrific opening partnership in One-Day Internationals? Their playing days are long since over, but the partnership has not ended and the entertainment quotient has certainly not gone down.
The partnership played out in full glory on the social networking site Twitter and the fans were treated to some rib-tickling banter between Tendulkar and Sehwag.
After the master blaster sent his customary congratulatory message to the Indian team after it regained the No. 1 ranking in the world, Virender Sehwag, who has donned the role of a Hindi commmentator for the ongoing India-New Zealand Test series, couldn't resist himself from seeking the encouragement of the 'God ji' on behalf of the commentary team with his inimitable tweet.
A spectacular victory by Team INDIA & many congratulations on regaining the no 1 position in the world test cricket!! >#INDvNZ

The God had to grant him his wish, didn't he? Joining in on the fun, Sachin sent out his 'blessings' thus:
Jiyo mere Lala....Tathaaaastuuuuu!!! >https://t.co/whyq1pluGn

If you have been following Virender Sehwag on the social networking site, you would know how big a pun master he is. With Anil Kumble's asserting that 'Sehwag is the best with 140 characters' during a panel discussion organised by Sportstar just a few days back, the twitter rockstar didn't need a bigger motivation to have some more fun with the legend.
The word 'Jiyo' in Tendulkar's tweet was enough fodder for Sehwag's overworking mind to take the punning to a whole new level. Jio › Reliance › Mumbai Indians › Sachin , the connections were made in a jiffy and a cracker of a reply was duly on its way to the master's timeline. Even Mumbai Indians' team song 'Duniya Hila Denge' found its way into Sehwag's genius tweet.
On any other day, against any other person, this tweet would have sealed the deal for the ruler of the twitter world. But this was a conversation with the 'God' and it wasn't going to end that way. Tendulkar had made his point and we couldn't see any more reply from Sehwag though our twitter stalking endeavours.
This one time, God certainly had the last say.
