Board President’s XI coasted to 201 for two in response to the South Africa A team’s big first-innings total, on the second day of their match at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Tuesday.

South Africa A, resuming on its overnight score of 389 for two, declared on 473 for four. Off-spinner Jalaj Saxena (two for 54) was the best bowler on view.

Board President’s XI opening batsman A. Easwaran played a few pleasing straight drives en route to a fluent 48-ball 33, before he fell to pacer Malusi Siboto.

Vidarbha batsman Sanjay Ramaswamy (87, 113b, 17x4, 1x6) made a mark, but fell caught-behind to leg-spinner Shaun von Berg. Dhruv Shorey (67 n.o., 97b, 11x4, 1x6) and Ricky Bhui ( 3 n.o.) stayed at the crease until the close of play.
