South Africa A, resuming on its overnight score of 389 for two, declared on 473 for four. Off-spinner Jalaj Saxena (two for 54) was the best bowler on view.
Board President’s XI opening batsman A. Easwaran played a few pleasing straight drives en route to a fluent 48-ball 33, before he fell to pacer Malusi Siboto.
Vidarbha batsman Sanjay Ramaswamy (87, 113b, 17x4, 1x6) made a mark, but fell caught-behind to leg-spinner Shaun von Berg. Dhruv Shorey (67 n.o., 97b, 11x4, 1x6) and Ricky Bhui ( 3 n.o.) stayed at the crease until the close of play.
