Virat also achieved another feat as he now features in the list of players to score more two-hundred-plus scores as captain.

Virat Kohli added another record to his cabinet when he yet again breached the 200-run mark, smashing a ruthless 204 against Bangladesh on Friday, Day 2 of the one-off Test being played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

The Indian skipper has now scored double hundreds in four consecutive Test series, the longest such sequence, going past Don Bradman and Rahul Dravid who had previously achieved it in three successive series.

The social media was flooded with tweets as some former cricketers, experts and movie stars congratulated Virat on his astonishing feat. Team India's fighter and 2011 World Cup man-of-the-series winner, Yuvraj Singh congratulated him saying, "It is incredible, and he'll keep raising the bar to the next level everytime he goes to bat captain".

Virat also achieved another feat as he now features in the list of captains with the most number of double hundred. He is No. 2 on the list, sharing the spot with Bradman, Michael Clarke and Graeme Smith. Only Brian Lara is ahead of with five scores past the 200-run mark.

The Sultan of Multan, Virender Sehwag continued to impress his followers on Twitter with another one adding to his list as he said, "Enjoying Sunbath at home, much like the Indian batsmen have enjoyed the Bangladeshi bowling."

It is surprising to know that there are only three India batsmen who have scored more 200-plus scores than Kohli’s four. Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar lead with six 200-plus scores each, followed by Dravid’s five.

India’s Olympic silver medallist, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, gave his blessings to the Indian Test captain as he said, "Congrats Kohli, on becoming the first batsman ever to score four 200s in four successive test series! An ambassador for young & energetic new India!"

Virat Kohli also reached another milestone reaching 1168 Test runs for the season, the most by any batsman at home in one season. The previous highest was Virender Sehwag’s 1105 runs during the 2004-05 season.

The tennis maestro, Rohan Bopanna congratulated Kohli by comparing his record feat to Ivo Karlovic’s deadly aces.
