CHAMPS which is an acronym for Caring, Helping, Assisting, Motivating and Promoting Sportspersons was formed in 1999 with the support of fellow trustees, the late Nana Chudasama (former Sheriff of Mumbai and philanthropist), avid sports lover and founder of Sportsweek magazine, Khalid A-H Ansari, Mrs Marshniel Gavaskar, yesteryears batting artist Gundappa Viswanath, advertising guru Sam Balsara and Noomi Mehta.

In an endeavor to broaden it’s horizon and open up a broader avenue for those interested in contributing to bettering the conditions of sportspersons, The CHAMPS Foundation has recently launched an online donation option through their website  www.champsindia.org .
