Beuran Hendricks was part of South Africa's 2014 World T20 squad.

Uncapped seamer Beuran Hendricks has been called up by South Africa for the remainder of the ODI series with Pakistan, while Dale Steyn and Quinton de Kock are also back in contention.

Left-armer Hendricks has played seven Twenty20 matches for the Proteas but is yet to make his debut in the 50-over format, having last featured for his country in October 2017.

Wicketkeeper-batsman De Kock and paceman Steyn were rested for the first two games in the five-match series but will be available for selection at SuperSport Park on Friday.

Duanne Olivier, Dane Paterson and Heinrich Klaasen make way for the trio after South Africa secured a five-wicket victory in Durban on Tuesday to peg Pakistan back at 1-1.

Cricket South Africa national selection convener Linda Zondi said: "We are very happy with the depth of our fast bowling resources, particularly if you consider that Lungi Ngidi is still on the road back from injury and we also want to have a look at Anrich Nortje when he is fully recovered.

"At the same time we want to explore all the options that are available to us and Beuran will be able to offer variety to our attack.

"We are well aware of what Duanne, Dane and Heinrich have to offer and in the case of Duanne we are mindful of the amount of bowling he has done at the top level over the past month and we want to give him a break ahead of the Test Series against Sri Lanka.

"For the same reason we will be looking to rest Kagiso Rabada for the entire T20 International Series."
