All the important numbers of the second day's play between India and Bangladesh on Friday.

# India (687/6 declared) recorded its highest score versus Bangladesh in Tests, eclipsing the 610/3 declared in Dhaka in May 2007.

# India registered its third consecutive 600-plus score, becoming the first team to achieve the feat in Tests.

# Ajinkya Rahane (82) scored his tenth half-century in Tests. Rahane's highest score in his previous six innings in Tests was 26 against England in Visakhapatnam in November 2016.

# Virat Kohli and Rahane put on 222 runs -- India's highest fourth-wicket partnership versus Bangladesh in Tests -- surpassing the 189 runs shared between Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly in Chittagong in 2007. It was also Kohli and Rahane's third 200-plus stand for the fourth-wicket. Among Indians, only Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly have as many fourth wicket 200-plus partnerships. Ricky Ponting and Michael Clarke have accomplished the feat four times -- the most by any pair.

# Five of Bangladesh's bowlers conceded over 100 runs -- it was the seventh time five bowlers or more conceded 100-plus runs in a Test innings. It was also the first such occasion against India.

# Kohli (204) is the third captain to post a double century versus Bangladesh in Tests, joining Graeme Smith (232 for South Africa in Chittagong in 2008) and Stephen Fleming (202 for New Zealand in Chittagong in 2004).

# Kohli has scored four double hundreds as captain. Four other Indian skippers have achieved the feat once each -- Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Sunil Gavaskar and Sachin Tendulkar. Kohli is the second Indian batsman to hit a double century against Bangladesh after Sachin Tendulkar (248 not out at Dhaka in December 2004).

# Kohli became the first player to hit double centuries in four successive Test series. Don Bradman and Rahul Dravid had recorded the distinction in three consecutive series.

# Just three Indian players have posted more double centuries than Kohli in Tests -- six each by Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar and five by Rahul Dravid.

# Only Brian Lara has more double hundreds (five) as captain than Kohli. Don Bradman, Michael Clarke and Graeme Smith also have four innings of 200-plus in Tests.
