Cheteshwar Pujara became the first Saurashtra batsman to score a T20 century, during a Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy match against Railways in Indore on Thursday. Cheteshwar Pujara scored a 61-ball 100 to help Saurashtra to 188/3 in its allotted 20 overs.

Pujara's knock comprised 16 boundaries and a six.

Pujara, who recently won the Sportstar Aces Chairman's choice award, is considered a Test specialist and has never played T20I for India. His last ODI match for India was in 2014 against Bangladesh. He went unsold in the IPL auction.
