Srinath joined Kapil in 1999 with his figure of 13/132 against Pakistan.
Umesh also became the eighth Indian pacer to claim a 10-wicket haul in Test cricket history. Previously, Chetan Sharma, Venkatesh Prasad, Irfan Pathan (twice), Ishant Sharma and Zaheer Khan have managed to take ten away wicketsin Test matches.
On a flat track in Hyderabad, Umesh bowled his heart out in both the innings, by picking up wickets at regular intervals and getting the ball to reverse as well. Shannon Gabriel was the last West Indian wicket to fall and Umesh's tenth scalp, setting up India a victory target of 72 runs.
After the match, Umesh received a special mention from Virat Kohli. "Umesh deserves what he's achieved in this game. I am pleased to see how he's stepped up for us in the absence of Shami and after Shardul got injured. He keeps giving more than 100 percent every time in the field.”
