That's all we have for you today. Thank you so much for joining us. Until next, this is all of us at Sportstar   bidding you all goodbye.

Moreover, the tone was set earlier in the day by the Vidarbha spinners. Wakhare picked up four wickets while Sarwate and Karnewar bagged two and one each. Gurbani sent early tremors down the Baroda line-up by sending the openers back to the hut within the first eight overs.

VIDARBHA WINS! Faiz Fazal smashed an unbeaten 58 to steer his team to a commanding seven-wicket victory with almost 16 overs to spare. J.M. Sharma shared a brilliant 71-run opening stand with Fazal to set up the rest of the chase nicely. Krunal Pandya, Yusuf Pathan and Swapnil Singh chipped in with a wicket each, but the their batsman hadn't put up enough runs on the board for their bowlers to defend.

Vidarbha is 126/3 after 33 overs, requires 6 more to win.

FIFTY UP! Skipper Faiz Fazal brings up his half-century as Vidarbha is less than runs away from victory. He has hit six boundaries and a maximum.

Vidarbha is 87/3 after 26.2 overs, requires 45 more to win.

New batsman in: Akshay Wadkar walks out to bat at no. 5.

Taide 1(15) ct Devdhar b Y. Pathan

THREE DOWN! Well, well, well! The spinners of Baroda have caused a bit of a stir in the Vidarbha dugout with a flurry of three quick wickets, but it isn't something the team would still worry about. Yusuf Pathan joins the party by claiming Atharva's wicket, who is caught behind by wicket-keeper Kedar Devdhar.

Vidarbha is 79/2 after 23 overs, requires 53 more to win.

New batsman in: Atharva Taide walks out to bat.

Wankhade 1(3) b Krunal

SHORT STAY! Wankhade comes and Wankhade walks back after three balls as Krunal Pandya cleans the batsman up.

Vidarbha is 71/1 after 20 overs, requires 61 more to win.

New batsman: Apoorv Wankhade comes joins his skipper in the centre.

Arothe 37 (66, 5x4) lbw Swapnil

THAT'S OUT AFTER FIFTY PARTNERSHIP! The opening stand between the skipper and keeper was finally ended on 71 when Swapnil Singh trapped J.M. Sharma in front of the stumps. The batsman has to depart for 37, but his team his well on course for a comfortable win.

Vidarbha is 45/0 after 15 overs, requires 87 more to win.

Nothing seems to be working for skipper Krunal and his boys. They have a small target to defend and in a bid to open the gates with the first breakthrough, he has introduced Yusuf Pathan and Swapnil Singh into the attack.

Vidarbha is 32/0 after 11 overs, requires 100 more to win.

BARODA STILL WICKETLESS- Faiz Fazal is not-out on 12 off 36 balls and J.M. Sharma is playing on 16 off 31 balls as Vidarbha openers have negotiated the first 10 overs really well. Both bastmen have hit two boundaries apiece and are striking the ball at a decent run-rate. Krunal Pandya brought himself on has already bowled two overs, conceding just four runs.

Vidarbha is 18/0 after 5 overs, requires 114 more to win.

J.M. Sharma is off the mark alright and is beginning to score runs at a healthy rate. He has struck two boundaries, but it's still early days. Atit Sheth has been a tad expensive, while Pathan has conceded just one run off his two overs, including a maiden.

Vidarbha is 7/0 after 2 overs, requires 125 more to win.

FOUR! The first boundary of the innings is hit by Faiz Fazal. It arrives in the first over off Sheth's bowling. Sharma is yet to get off the mark.

B.A. Pathan shares the new ball with Sheth

Atit Sheth opens the bowling and here we go!

Captain Faiz Fazal and wicket-keeper J.M. Sharma have come out to open the innings.

We are back with the live action from the second innings of the match.

----INNINGS BREAK| Vidarbha needs 132 runs from 50 overs to win the match ----

Baroda batsmen never really got going. The openers fell cheaply and there was a ray of hope when Swapnil Singh and Deepak Hooda registered at 37-run stand. However, once broken by Sarwate, the gates opened up and in the end, Tushar's resistance took Baroda well past the 100 mark.

Akshay Wakhare was the wrecker-in-chief with a four wicket haul in his 10 overs. Aditya Sarwate bagged two wickets. But it was all started by a splendid opening spell from Rajneesh Gurbani, who returned with figures of two for 16 in his 10 overs.

Faiz Fazal will be mighty pleased with his bowlers today. They bowled well consistently for 50 overs to reduce a good-looking batting line-up of Baroda to just 131.

Arothe 30 (41, 1x4, 1x6) run out

ALL-OUT AND END OF INNINGS: Tushar Arothe is run-out on the last ball of the innings on 30 and Babashafi Pathan returns to the pavilion unbeaten on 5 off 24 balls as Baroda finishes on 131 from its 50 overs. The 37-run partnership for the tenth wickets between Arothe and Pathan ensured that the team played out is full quota of 50 overs.

Baroda is 111/9 after 45.5 overs.

100 UP! Baroda has somehow managed to cross the 100-run mark. The team has scrambled its way to the mark.

Number 11 B.A. Pathan is out to bat.

Baroda is 94/9 after 39.5 overs.

Pandya 21(50, 1x4, 1x6)) ct Sharma b Wakhare

KRUNAL PANDYA GONE AND NINE DOWN! Even before I can finish updating the score, Vidarbha bowlers pick up another wicket. They are leaving no stone unturned in making sure that the opposition is bundled out as soon as possible. Akshay Wakhare clinches his fourth wicket and it's a huge one. Krunal Pandya's resistance is brought to and end as he is caught behind as well.

Baroda is 94/8 after 38.2 overs.

Sheth 1(7) ct Sharma b Sarwate

CAUGHT BEHIND! Aditya Sarwate gets the better of Sheth, who is caught behind by keeper Sharma.

Atit Sheth is next in to bat.

Baroda is currently 92/7 after 36.4 overs.

Rathva 5(32) b Karnewar

BOWLED HIM! Akshay Karnewar joins as the party as he castles Abhimanyusingh. The spinners of Vidarbha have now picked up five of the seven wickets.

Skipper Fail Fazal then introduced spin from both ends and they spinners did not fail to deliver. Aditya Sarwate and Akshay Wakhare have not only but the breaks on the scoring rate, but have picked up wickets at regular intervals to ensure no two bastmen of Baroda are able to stitch a solid partnership.

Credit where it's due! Vidarbha bowlers have performed really well from the start of the match. Gurabani and Thakur opened the bowling and Gurbani's double-strikes caused early dents on the batting side.

Baroda is currently 82/6 after 33 overs.

Krunal Pandya is batting on 9 from 27 balls and hasn't hit a single boundary yet. He is holding one end, but wickets falling regularly at the other end means he has to play even more cautiously. Abhimanyusingh walks out to bat at number eight.

Baroda is currently 77/6 after 30 overs.

Rathva 5(25, 1x4) ct Karnewar b Wakhare

AKSHAY WAKHARE IS TURNING IT ON HERE! He picks up his third scalp in the form of Ninad Rathva, who is caught by Karnewar.

Baroda struggling at67/5 after 24 overs.

Ninad Rathva walk out and joins Krunal Pandya at the crease.

Pathan 1 (7) ct Thakur b Wakhare

MORE WICKETS! Wickets keep tumbling for the home side as Wakhare picks up his second wicket and it's a huge wicket! Season campaigner Yusuf Pathan is caught by Yash Thakur for just one as Vidarbha has now sent half the team packing. This is serious damage now.

Baroda, now reeling, at 64/4 after 22 overs.

Yusuf Pathan joins Krunal Pandya at the crease.

Hooda 14 (41, 2x4) ct Fazal b Sarwate

FOUR DOWN! Spin from both ends and damage from both ends. Sarwate sends Deepak Hooda back to the pavilion and now, Baroda will have two new men at the crease. Deep, deep trouble! Vidarbha's skipper completes the catch as Sarwate picks up his first wicket in the third over of his spell.

Baroda, now reeling, at 59/3 after 19 overs.

Skipper Krunal Pandya walks in.

Swapnil 27 (41, 4x2) ct Satish b Wakahare

THAT'S OUT! Akshay Wakhare gets rid of Swapnil Singh, who was beginning to look comfortable with Deepak Hooda in the middle. He is caught by Ganesh Satish and that's wicket number one to the right-arm spinner. The partnership was worth 37 runs.

Another change in the attack: Left-arm leg spinner, Aditya Sarwate comes on to bowl. Vidarbha now has spin operating from both ends.

Baroda: 47/2 in 15 overs.

He concedes five run in his first over.

Second change in the attack: Akshay Wakhare, right-arm off break, comes on to bowl.

The first boundary of the day comes off Swapnil Singh's blade. Well, that's one way to welcome the new bowler. Make that two. Swapnil ends the over with another boundary as Karnewar concedes 8 runs off the over.

First change in the bowling attack. Skipper Faiz Fazal brings on right-arm off spinner Akshay Karnewar.

Baroda | 26/2 after 10 overs.

Yash Thakur's bowling figures so far: 5 overs, 1 maiden, 20 runs, 0 wickets

Rajneesh Gurbani: 5 overs, 2 maidens, 5 runs, 2 wickets

WHAT A START! The first 10 overs belong to the fielding side. Baroda has been pushed to the back foot from the onset, owing to disciplined bowling from Vidarbha's opening bowlers. The onus is now on Swapnil Singh and Deepak Hooda to regain stability after getting off to a rocky start.

Live score| Baroda 23/2 (8.0)

QUICK TRIVIA: Gurbani had finished as the second-highest wicket-taker [39 wickets] at an economy of 3.04 in Ranji Trophy 2017-18. Gurbani is lucky to read the batsman’s side of story through the legendary Wasim Jaffer. The domestic giant is a ready tutorial for the Vidarbha bowler at nets. Here's an interview with Gurbani published earlier this year in Sportstar — ' The Gurbani story of patience'.

WICKET| Gurbani is on fire; traps Kedar Devdhar 14 (22) in front of his stumps. Baroda needs a partnership to rescue itself from the crisis.

WICKET | Rajneesh Gurbani strikes early morning. Jitesh Sharma takes a fine catch behind the wicket to send Vishnu Solanki 1(10) back inside four overs.

Baroda openers Kedar Devdhar and Vishnu Solanki are out to bat. For Vidarbha, Yash Thakur has the new ball in hand, that he will be sharing with Rajnessh Gurbani

TOSS: At the GFSC Ground in Vadodara, Vidarbha won the toss and chose to field first.

Vidarbha takes on Baroda at the Fertiliser Ground in Vadodara this morning. Both the teams have had a quiet tournament so far with Vidarbha (8 points) winning two out of six games and Baroda (12 points), three out of seven.

Regular captain Faiz Fazal is back to leading Vidarbha in the must-win encounter. With three star players in its ranks — Deepak Hooda, Yusuf Pathan and Krunal Pandya — Baroda has the arsenal for a quick turnaround.
