Vijay Hazare Trophy: Delhi beats Jharkhand to reach final

Pawan Negi and Navdeep Saini stitched a 51-run stand for the ninth wicket to guide Delhi home in the nail-biter.

16.46 CLOSE! There was no run, Saini sent back. Roy hits the stumps from point but Saini makes his ground.

16.42 Aaron is in. He is clocking near 140 kmph and attacking the stumps. Saini tries to steal a single but slips, but he has done well to survive Aaron so far.

16.24 Negi is definitely an able player to guide Delhi through in such a situation. Remember 2016 IPL auctions? The all-rounder was picked for Rs 8.5 crore by Delhi Daredevils. He couldn't shine in the IPL but his List A strike rate is 96.92.

14:55 Gautam Gambhir becomes Anand Singh's second wicket after an uncharacteristic stay in the middle. He is out for 27 off 48 balls and Delhi loses its third wicket. Currently, 86/3, it needs 114 more runs from 185 balls.

Varun Aaron and Jaskaran Singh in operation for Jharkhand, the former extracting disconcerting bounce off the surface, one such delivery had Nitish Rana fending to third man, evading the fielder at first slip. 12:45 ALL OUT! Virat Singh is the last man to be dismissed, Jharkhand folds up for 199 in 48.5 overs. From 85/6, Jharkhand staged a strong fightback to take itself close to 200, which is the target for Delhi to reach the final!

10:16am OUT! In the first over after drinks, Navdeep Saini picks up the fourth wicket of the innings, having Kumar Deobrat caught behind for 3. Jharkhand 41/4 in the 16th over. Virat Singh is the new batsman in.

9.50am Jharkhand manages only 30 runs for the loss of two wickets in the powerplay (1 to 10 overs). Saurabh Tiwary and Anand Singh have a big job in their hands, to resurrect the innings after an undesirable start.

9:38am OUT! Shasheem Rathour is out for 5, caught at cover trying to break the shackles (having been tied down for 15 balls) off the bowling of Kulwant Khejroliya. Jharkhand 29/2 after eight overs. Saurabh Tiwary has walked in to bat.

9:29am Anand Singh, in partnership with Shasheem Rathour, has steadied the Jharkhand innings. Jharkhand is 24/1 after six overs, having lost its captain on the fourth ball of its innings.

9:04am Navdeep Saini has, in the very first over, made so much happen by pitching the ball up on a green pitch and, with a bit of movement, found the outside edge of Ishan Kishan's bat, dismissing him for a second-ball duck. Jharkhand is 5/1 after the first over.
