Brian Vitori has been cleared to resume bowling in international and domestic cricket after successful retesting of the Zimbabwe paceman's bowling action.

Vitori was suspended from bowling by the International Cricket Council (ICC) after he was reported for a suspect bowling action following the third Twenty20 international against Bangladesh in January.

The 26-year-old left-arm quick underwent a retest of his action at the University of Pretoria on June 10 and has been given the green light by the governing body.

An ICC statement said: "At the retest, it was revealed that the amount of elbow extensions in Vitori's bowling action for all his deliveries that were tested was within the 15-degree level of tolerance permitted under the ICC regulations for the review of bowlers reported with suspected illegal bowling actions."

Vitori has played four Tests, 19 one-day internationals and 11 T20 matches for his country, taking 42 wickets combined across the three formats.
