Just six days after the Asia Cup final, India will meet West Indies for a home series comprising two Tests, five ODIs and three T20s.
The seven-week series will start with Rajkot hosting the first Test on October 4 and end with the third T20 in Chennai on Novemeber 11.
West Indies and India have played 94 Tests against each other since 1948. West Indies has won 30, lost 28 and drawn 46 matches.
The West Indies Cricket Board had announced a 15-member team for the Tests, led by Jason Holder.
West Indies squad: Jason Holder (captain), Sunil Ambris, Devendra Bishoo, Kraigg Brathwaite, Roston Chase, Shane Dowrich, Shannon Gabriel, Jahmar Hamilton, Shimron Hetmyer, Shai Hope, Alzarri Joseph, Keemo Paul, Kieran Powell, Kemar Roach and Jomel Warrican.
