Willey ruled out of England squad for Pakistan ODIs

Owing to injury to his left hand, England’s left-arm seamer David Willey has been omitted from the upcoming One-Day International series between England and Pakistan.

Owing to injury to his left hand, England’s left-arm seamer David Willey has been omitted from the upcoming One-Day International (ODI) series between England and Pakistan. He has been replaced in the squad by Jake Ball.

Willey, a member of Yorkshire’s T20 side which played on Saturday, hurt himself on that day and X-ray revealed he could have suffered a serious injury. Another scan on his hand will ensue soon, to ascertain the extent of his injury.

The ODI series begins at Rose Bowl in Southampton on Wednesday.
