Shai Hope has not played for his country since January.

Opening batsman Shai Hope has been recalled to the West Indies squad for the third Test against India at the expense of Rajendra Chandrika.

Hope has not played for his country since the third Test against Australia in January, but was on Thursday recalled to a squad of 14 for the penultimate match of the series in St Lucia next week.

Chandrika pays the price for making just six runs in two innings in the drawn second Test this week, having failed to make a significant contribution in the series-opener in Antigua - which India won by an innings and 92 runs.

Roston Chase made a defiant century in only his second Test as the Windies earned an unlikely draw at Sabina Park on Wednesday.

The third Test gets under way at Gros Islet on Tuesday.

West Indies squad: Jason Holder (captain), Kraigg Brathwaite, Devendra Bishoo, Jermaine Blackwood, Carlos Brathwaite, Darren Bravo, Roston Chase, Miguel Cummins, Shane Dowrich, Shannon Gabriel, Shai Hope, Leon Johnson, Alzarri Joseph, Marlon Samuels.
