Yasir Shah thanked Ravichandran Ashwin for wishing him ahead of the day-night Test.

After becoming the fastest Asian bowler to claim 100 Test wickets, Pakistan leg-spinner Yasir Shah expressed his desire for a showdown against India and its star spinner Ravichandran Ashwin.

The 30-year-old reached the milestone after completing a five-wicket haul in the first of the three-Test series against West Indies in Dubai last evening.

"Every Pakistani and Indian player has this wish to play against each other. I have not played a Test against India so it’s my wish,” he was quoted as saying by cricket.com.au.

Ashwin had wished Yasir ahead of the day-night Test.

"Yes, he had said good luck so I am thankful. It’s naturally motivating when a great bowler who is second fastest to 200 wickets tweets a good luck message and it’s really a great motivation for me,” he said.
