Bengaluru FC clinches a 2-0 win against Jamshedpur FC to reach the final of the Super Cup 2023 tournament.

GOOOOOALL!! CHHETRI SCORES TO GIVE 2-0 LEAD TO BENGALURU FC!! Siva finds Krishna with a good through ball. Once inside the box, Krishna shoots at goal, but Rehenesh makes the save. However, he could not hold on to the ball and the rebound falls to Krishna who heads the ball to Chhetri. Chhetri had all the time to slam the ball inside the net from close-range.

With his eighth goal in the Super Cup, he overtakes Coro to become the all-time top-scorer of the Super Cup.

Chhetri finds Krishna with a great defence-splitting pass. Krishna spots Perez and tries to find him with a through ball. He does find him, but Perez did not time his run properly as the assistant referee raises his flag for offside.

Pablo Perez towers over Pratik to head the ball to Krishna, who timed his run well to remain onside. Having a clear run at goal, Krishna finds himself one-on-one with Rehenesh. He goes for the shot but Rehenesh stands his ground and gets a crucial touch to make the save.

GOOOOOALL!! BFC TAKES THE LEAD THROUGH A JAYESH RANE HEADER!! Siva crosses the ball inside the box. The ball takes a slight deflection and falls to Rane who adjusts his body position to head the ball across goal and find the far-corner. Rehenesh could do nothing but watch.

Unlike the first-half, BFC has been a lot more active inside the opposition’s final third. At the moment, the final product is not being up to the mark for either team. Neither team is pushing its defence up and willing to take a risk.

Bhutia bullies his way towards the JFC goal and takes a shot from the edge of the box. But, the effort is blocked.

Renthlei finds Crivellaro with a floating ball inside the box. Crivellaro brings down the ball beautifully and looked for the shot. But, he was closed down fast.

Crivellaro swings a pinpoint outswinging cross inside the BFC box from a corner. Jay gets to the ball and heads it, but cannot keep his effort down. It looked like a free header but Bruno did well to put pressure on the JFC player.

The tempo of the match has visibly gone down. There is no zing factor that one would expect from a semifinal tie.

Roshan goes for goal from the freekick and misses the target by quite a distance. It is not a good effort from the youngster.

Sabia fouls Krishna and BFC has a freekick. It is a good chance for Bengaluru to get a ball inside the JFC box.

Roshan is too exicited in his bid to try and win the ball from Boris, who had recovered well from his earlier mistake. Boris shields the ball well and earns a foul after Roshan brings him down inside the JFC box.

Chhetri crosses the ball inside the box, but it is a misdirected one as no BFC player was present inside the box. Ricky shows his calm by chesting the ball to Rehenesh, who collects it.

Jay takes a shot from distance again. The shot has power but lacks direction as Gurpreet sees the ball go out of play.

Jamshedpur has got the better chances till now in the game and has also looked sharper.

JFC is patient in building up its attack as it keeps possession inside the BFC box. Crivellaro tries to find the far-post with a grounded shot, but misses the target.

Boris has looked lively till now. He gets the ball and looks to thread it to Crivellaro. His pass, however, is cut out and BFC has the ball again.

Bad news for Bengaluru FC as Javi cannot continue in the match. It looks like a lower back issue for the Spaniard. This is a big blow for the Blues.

Crivellaro sends a good cross inside the JFC box but no JFC player attacked the ball.

BFC launches a counter-attack and Udanta leads it with a darting run. He travels a long way with the ball and finds Chhetri with a pass. Chhetri sends the ball to Javi with a good line-breaking pass. Javi takes a shot which is blocked and the ball falls to Krishna. Krishna goes for a shot too but that is blocked as well.

Close- Crivellaro displays brilliant technique to get the ball over the wall from such a close distance. Unfortunately for him, the ball hits the roof of the net. Gurpreet was a spectator as the ball flew in.

Chima Chukwu is fouled right at the edge of the box and JFC has a freekick in a dangerous position. Udanta makes his frustration known to the referee regarding the decision. He needs to be careful.

It is a peach of a cross from Javi from the BFC freekick. The ball was swinging mid-air but Rehenesh does well to read the trajectory of the ball and punch it away.

Krishna is fouled and Bengaluru FC has a freekick.

Big chance- Jay wriggles his way through a sea of BFC bodies and shoots low. The shot is blocked but falls to Boris at the far-post. Boris lashes at the ball first-time but Gurpreet makes the save with his feet to deny Boris.

A dangerous ball is swinged inside the BFC box from the right flank but Jhingan shows his excellent positioning skill to station himself between two JFC players and clear the ball away to safety with a solid header.

Ritwik cuts in from the left and tries to thread a through ball to Boris on the right flank. But the weight on his pass is too much and the ball goes out for a goalkick.

Krishna and Pratik, both go for the ball. Pratik wins the race, but Krishna’s extended leg catches the JFC player. Krishna is hurt too but the foul goes against him.

Gurpreet’s long goalkick almost finds Krishna, who had made the run behind the JFC defence. But, Rehenesh is alert and comes out to collect the ball

Big Chance- Jay shoots from distance which forces a save from Gurpreet. However, the keeper cannot hold on to the ball and the rebound falls to Chima. All he needed was a touch towards either side but he hits the ball straight to Gurpreet from point-bank range. A big chance wasted.

Jamshedpur FC starts the match with a reserved approach. All the players are back inside their own-half as Bengaluru looks to make inroads.

“But it’s finished now, and it means nothing. We’ve been working as hard as we could, scored 11 goals, pleased with our attacking play overall, I’ve enjoyed the tournament and looking forward to the next game.
