Defending champion, Bayern Munich will continue on its quest for its 11th consecutive title with a match up against Borussia Monchengladbach on August 27. Monchengladbach has been a rare stumbling block for the Munich side, with seven wins in the last five years.
Last season, Monchengladbach went unbeaten against the record champion and also clinched a memorable 5-0 victory in the DFB Pokal. Bayern, though, has begun the season impeccably, with three wins out of three, including a 7-0 thumping of Vfl Brochum in the last game. New signing, Sadio Mane has filled into the void left by Robert Lewandowski as club’s talisman.
Meanwhile, Bayern’s traditional rival, Borussia Dortmund will be away at Hertha Berlin. Dortmund will be looking to bounce back after a moral-sapping defeat against Werder Bremen. The Edin Terzic-managed side conceded three late goals to give away an easy win.
