In his fourth spell as Bayern Munich manager, the 72-year-old Jupp Heynckes reached another milestone when he guided his team to a commanding 5-2 win over Julian Nagelsmann's Hoffenheim.

Saturday's victory for the Bavarian giant was its 150th in Bundesliga with Heynckes in charge; Heynckes is just the third Bayern manager to achieve this feat, only Ottmar Hitzfeld (158) and Udo Lattek (184) managing more league victories. On the whole, Saturday's victory was Heynckes' 333rd in Bundesliga, as 'coach' of Borussia Monchengladbach, Eintracht Frankfurt, Schalke, and Bayer Leverkusen, to go with Bayern.
Since returning to coach Bayern last October, after Carlo Ancelotti was sacked following an indifferent start to the season, Heynckes has led Bayern to 13 straight victories in the league. In doing so, Bayern has established a healthy and a seemingly insurmountable 16-point lead over the second-placed Bayer Leverkusen, putting itself on course for winning the league for a sixth consecutive season.
With the league in the bag, Heynckes' Bayern will target winning the Champions League for the first time since the 2012/13 season, since when it has fallen at the semi-final stage on each of the last four seasons.
