Claudio Pizarro scored his 100th Bundesliga goal as Werder Bremen beat last-placed Hannover 4-1, and Bayer Leverkusen came from three goals down to draw 3-3 at Augsburg.

Fin Bartels put the host in front after 18 minutes before the in-form Pizarro scored his 10th Bundesliga goal in 2016 to make it two soon after.

Kenan Karaman brought the Reds back into the game on the stroke of half-time, but Theodor Gebre-Selassie restored Bremen's two-goal lead 10 minutes into the second half with a shot which arrowed across Ron-Robert Zieler and into the far left-hand corner of his goal after good work from Pizarro.

Zlatko Junuzovic made it 4-1 with a volley from just outside the penalty area from Gebre-Selassie's pass, allowing Bremen to pull away from the bottom three and leave Hannover, which has now lost 10 of its last 11, rooted to the bottom of the Bundesliga, eight points from safety.
