Chennai City FC players will prepare for I-League with friendlies against ISL teams.

I-league side Chennai City FC is set to take on Indian Super League champion Chennaiyin FC, Bengaluru FC and Pune City FC in pre-season friendlies this month.

CCFC owner Rohit Ramesh confirmed to  Sportstar  that the team will take on three of last season's top-four ISL sides as part of its preparation for the new campaign.

Dates and venues are yet to be finalised with talks still ongoing between the clubs.

"We have lined up friendlies against Bengaluru, Chennaiyin and Pune City. All three matches will be played away from home," Rohit Ramesh said.

The Coimbatore outfit began its pre-season camp on August 1 under new coach Mohammad Akbar Bin Abdul Nawas. The players returned to their homes on a three-day break before reporting to the city for training on Monday.
