Elanga with beautiful feet! He beats Trent and the Liverpool right back fouls him in a bid to stop him. United wins a freekick. A yellow card for Trent.

Liverpool brings the ball from the right flank with Salah’s dribble. The Egyptian is unable to find a way through. The Reds’ eventually find a way down the right side but Milner is unable to chase the through ball and its a goal kick for United.

Sancho again manages to find Rashford breaking out into a run. Rashford is able to find a shot but the Liverpool defence has all angles covered and blocks the shot.

Sublime from Sancho! He gets a pass from the left flank. He fakes a shot which sends Milner flying past. He then turns back to the goal and finds the left corner as Van Dijk can only look at the ball fly past him.

Fernandes pin points a pass to Eriksen in the middle of the penalty area but there’s too many Liverpool shirts in the box to allow a shot

10’ United hits the woodwork!
United is tearing the central defence of Liverpool. This time it is Fernandes who breaks away down the middle. Alisson rushes forward to block the run but only deflects the ball into Elanga’s path. Elanga with an open goal in front of him hits the shot onto the right goal post.

The corner has too much weight and fails to find any United shirt and the attack fizzles out to nothing.

Martinez with the free kick. He goes for power but fails to clear the wall. The ball takes a deflection and goes for a corner.

Another good run by United’s No. 10 and Trent is left chasing. He comes in with a tackle from behind but the referee stops the play for a foul. A chance for United.

Rashford manages to get in behind the defensive line. But, Van Dijk recovers well and blocks the left-footed shot by Rashford. The first real burst of pace by Manchester United.

The game starts at a rapid pace. Liverpool has had more ball possession so far, but they’ve not yet managed a good entry into the final third.

The Manchester United fans are protesting today against the owners of the club - the Glazer family - to express their unhappiness over how the club is being run on and off the pitch.

The protesters had planned to start gathering at The Tollgate at Old Trafford at 5:30pm BST (10 pm IST). They intended to start marching from the Tollgate at 7pm BST (11:30 pm IST) to the Trinity.

Manchester United will face Liverpool at Old Trafford in its third Premier League fixture this season. The team has lost its first two matches - to Brighton and Hove Albion and, Brentford - and sits second from bottom in the league table.
