FIFA praises India for successful hosting of U-17 World Cup

FIFA president Gianni Infantino said FIFA would extend support to the AIFF to help in the realisation of the 'Mission 11 Million' project and the setting up of a AIFF National Centre of Excellence in Kolkata.

FIFA president Gianni Infantino addressed a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to congratulate him for successfully hosting the 2017 FIFA Under 17 World Cup.

Infantino appreciated the efforts made by India's apex football body, the All India Football Federation (AIFF), to promote football in the country with the 'Mission 11 Million' project and the setting up of the AIFF National Centre of Excellence in Kolkata.

He also added that the FIFA would extend support to help in the realisation of these projects and in the further promotion of the sport in India.
