With the first-ever FIFA event in the country less than 48 hours away, the government seems to be going all out in promoting the football Under-17 World Cup. As part of ensuring maximum coverage of the event among the masses, the Information and Broadcasting Ministry has now got into the act with All India Radio providing live bilingual commentary — in Hindi and English — for the tournament.
The commentary would be provided for all India matches in the league stages starting Friday and all matches from pre-quarter-final stage onwards, to be held across the country in Delhi, Navi Mumbai, Margao, Guwahati, Kochi and Kolkata till the final on October 28.
