Romelu Lukaku was among the standout players for Belgium in the quarterfinal clash against Brazil. Lukaku's hold-up play and running with the ball were the features of his performance. His greatest contribution was the assist for Kevin De Bruyne's goal, after he picked the ball in his own half and ran in excess of 40 yards before passing the ball to the Manchester City midfielder.
Eden Hazard was often the link between defence and attack, his ball-carrying ability and decision-making coming to fore on a night when his team needed a big performance from him.
