In what is expected to be a spectacular and invigorating game, Aizawl FC will play host to Kingfisher East Bengal on Monday at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Aizawl.

Having enjoyed pole position with 21 points from nine matches, East Bengal could only muster a point against Aizawl FC at Barasat Stadium in its first match of the season.

The match ended with a 1-1 scoreline as Ivan Bukenya cancelled out Gurwinder Singh's own goal to deny the Highlanders a maverick win. Aizawl FC, now, is enjoying the third spot in the table with 17 points.

Aizawl FC, so far, has an unscathed season at home suffering no defeats. And Trevor Morgan is aware of the challenge.

"We are not expecting anything less than a tough game from Aizawl FC tomorrow. Aizawl FC are having a fantastic season," he said.

Kingfisher East Bengal midfielder Lalrindika Ralte also spoke of the upcoming match with exuberance, "I am very excited about the match tomorrow." However, he also admitted that he needs to be cautious as he already has three cautions to his name. Another booking would render him unable to play in the leader's match against Bengaluru FC.

Aizawl FC coach Khalid Jamil, who has been doing wonders for the club from Mizoram, also spoke in a similar way ahead of tomorrow's match, "It will be a tough match tomorrow, all players will have to give their best if we want to have a positive result tomorrow."

Upon being asked if their recent signing Fela Zote will be seen on the pitch tomorrow, Jamil said the new recruit might be expected to play a role in Monday's game.

Kingfisher East Bengal haw all its players fit and ready and with Ashutosh Mehta being declared fit. Aizawl FC will also have no injury concern ahead of tomorrow's humdinger.

Brandon also unfurled his desires to steal full points tomorrow, "I want our team to earn full points tomorrow. I will play my best. East Bengal are good, but I believe we can win tomorrow.'
