AIFF to set up Centre of Excellence in Kolkata

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) is all set to establish a Centre of Excellence (COE) in Rajarhat in Kolkata's New Town, in two years' time.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee offered 15 acres of land on Friday, which was accepted by AIFF supremo Praful Patel.

After successfully hosting the FIFA U-17 World Cup, All India Football Federation (AIFF) president Praful Patel announced on Thursday the setting up of a Centre of Excellence (COE) in two years' time.

The facility, set to be established in Rajarhat in Kolkata's New Town, will house all the national men and women age group and senior national teams.

Following up on this, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee offered 15 acres of land on Friday, which was accepted by AIFF supremo Patel.
